JORGE ALFANO started his musical career on the bass, but went to become a talented artist playing many different instruments from around the world. He studied at the National Conservatory "Lopez Buchardo" (Argentina), Mannes School of Music ( N.Y. - USA), Indian music with G.S. Sachdev and Aashish Khan, Japanese Zen shakuhachi with Ronnie Nyogetsu Reishin Seldin (Ki Sui An dojo - N.Y.) and Kurahashi Yoshio (Mujuan dojo - Kyoto). At the same time, Jorge became one of New York's most versatile session players. As a soloist he, has recorded many CDs of world music, both as a player and a producer. He recently performed for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet.
