MARCO LIENHARD, left his native Switzerland for Japan at the age of 18 to study shakuhachi with Teruo Furuya and Yokoyama Katsuya. A member of Ondekoza, a taiko ensemble, since 1982, Marco participated in a 9,500 run around the perimeter of America giving 300 performances along the way. He current lives and teaches shakuhachi in New York City.
