Dr. Tanimura Ko is Professor at Osaka University and former President of the Musicological Society of Japan. Kitahara Kozo lives in Kyoto and is one of Japan's outstanding shakuhachi makers. Kitahara Ikuya is a shakuhachi maker and player. Matsumoto Misao is a Professor of music education at Hyogo University. Matsuda Akira is a composer and Professor at Shimane University.
